Colombian Political Prisoner Addresses TUC Conference from Prison

The Colombian trade union leader Huber Ballesteros was arrested by Colombian police days before he was due to address the 2013 TUC conference in Bournemouth.

Justice for Colombia managed to obtain a video message from Huber smuggled out from inside the prison and played to the TUC congress. See here for story and video

Fashion chains Mango and Benetton today face heavy criticism for shunning discussions on compensation for Bangladeshi victims of the Rana Plaza disaster, despite both retailers admitting to have recent orders or production in factories located in the building. See here for more
